Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)

The sequel to Rian Johnson’s acclaimed 2019 murder mystery sees master detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) on the case again when he’s invited to join a group of old friends on the private Greek island of a tech billionaire (Edward Norton). Set at the onset of the Covid pandemic, Glass Onion (which is the name of the island mansion owned by Alpha tech company head Miles Bron, and also the bar the friend group used to frequent) tells the story of a well-off group of old chums - scientist Lionel Toussaint (Leslie Odom Jr), Governor Claire Debella (Katherine Hahn), fashion designer and socialite Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson), men’s rights activist and social media persona Duke Cody (Dave Bautista), and Alpha’s ousted co-founder Cassandra “Andi” Brand (Janelle Monáe) - brought together for an extravagant week of sun and games, including a fake murder to solve. Luckily we get loads of both curvy Kate and Madelyn Cline as Duke’s girlfriend Whiskey lounging by the pool in their skimpy bikinis before things inevitably turn real when one of their group actually ends up dead. Talk about a party killer!
