Mary & George (2024-)

Based on the true story captured in Benjamin Woolley's non-fiction work, The King's Assassin, this salacious Starz series introduces us to the ambitious Mary Villiers (Julianne Moore), Countess of Buckingham in the 17th century, and her second son George (Nicholas Galitzine). After the death of her first husband, Mary plots to marry again quickly in order to remain financially stable, setting her sights on the grumpy Sir Thomas Compton (Sean Gilder). But this ends up being the first step in her more grand plan to have George seduce King James I of England/James VI of Scotland (played by Tony Curran) to really secure the family fortune. In the midst of all this scheming, Julianne gets her bean flicked by the naughty Niamh Algar, and the two share some sapphic smooches in bed, but the lack of skin has us sporting some royal blue balls!
