Review

Dickinson was a period comedy on Apple TV about writer Emily Dickinson and her turbulent life, but that really doesn't explain how unique the show was. Debuting in 2019 and lasting three seasons, it starred Hailee Steinfeld as a swearing, modern slang using version of Emily Dickinson surrounded by people acting period appropriate and using old timey vernacular. Pop and rap songs play constantly in the background, and Wiz Khalifa pops up every now and again as a personified version of Death. But despite all this modernity, Em's issues are very mid-1800's: she a secret lesbian longing for the love of her best friend Sue (Ella Hunt), is always pissed off that her lawyer brother Austin (Austin Blake Enscoe) gets to marry and screw Sue instead of her, and loathes that her mom (Jane Krakowski) wants her to be a housewife instead of a published poet. Emily might not need a man, but you'll especially want to put a Dickin-her when you see her make out with Ella Huntin a bunch of different scenes. She and Ella play lovers who enjoy a few underwear and under the covers shots together, but neither of them goes nude. Still, the girl on girl thirst in late-1800's Amherst was a thing to see! Roses are red, and we love to watch those two in bed! The beautiful blonde Gus Birney offers some much-needed cleavage in her low-cut gown in another tremendously sexual scene. She's practically busting out of that thing, and we're loving every second of it! But if you want a more mature and MILFier blonde, have a look at Jane Krakowski bending over in a cleavage baring corset to get her back scratched. Those mams will scratch an itch of yours. As Emily famously wrote, Hope is the thing with feathers, so we're still hoping they'll being this one back with full nudity! Even without any real skin, Dickinson was hot as the Dickens!
