The Protégé (2021)

What does the world's greatest assassin do when he stumbles across a child who shows a talent for revenge? Well, for the legendary contract killer, Moody (Samuel L. Jackson), his career brought him to Vietnam alone, but he's leaving with a new sidekick, a 10 year old kid who took out a room full of cold blooded killers right in front of him.  As Moody spends the next couple decades training Anna (Maggie Q), the pair of pros end up taking down bad guys around the world with ease, becoming the best in the business together.  Political assassinations, drug czars, war criminals, you name it and they can easily put a bullet between the eyes of whomever needs one.  One day they cross paths with the wrong bad guy though when Moody ends up dead in a bathtub and Anna has to go on the run to avoid his leading henchman, Rembrandt (Michael Keaton), who might be better than both of them! Now with Moody dead and some serious competition hunting her down, The Protégé must become the teacher and hand out lesson plans and ass whippings all around the globe to get back at the bad guys who killed her friend.  As Anna climbs the ladder of bad guys, who learns that there might be more to this hunt that anticipated, especially when she finds a kindred killer with equal respect in Rembrandt.  Game recognizes game, or so they say these days.  Lucky for us, Maggie Q helms the action packed poundings in the revenge flick and she does so with her signature level of sexy, showing a bit of skin along the way!
