The Glorias (2020)

Okay, we have to have a serious conversation about something... Did you really think that a film about feminist icon Gloria Steinem where she's played by multiple actresses, written and directed by a woman, and released in an election year was really going to have any female nudity in it? Is it some sort of weird fetish thing, seeing a feminist icon naked? We're not kink shaming, just wondering why you would presuppose that there would be any nudity whatsoever in the film The Glorias (2020). The latest film from director Julie Taymor (Titus, Frida) is adapted from Steinem's own books, though not any one in particular, to tell her story at various points in her life! The actresses tasked with playing Ms. Steinem in the film include Oscar winners Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander, along with lesser known actresses Lulu Wilson and Ryan Kiera Armstrong, who play her as a younger person. The actual Steinem even shows up to play herself at one point, further blurring the lines between documentary and dramatization. Janelle Monáe is also on hand to play another icon of the era, Dorothy Pitman Hughes, and she is one of only three actresses in the film to show off any skin at all! Janelle, Julianne, and Alicia all give us a hint of their bodies beneath some sexy undergarments! However, just to make sure you understand, when there's a film this front-loaded with themes of female empowerment, it's best to start looking elsewhere for nudity!
