Oh, Canada! All of us at Skin Central want to send our gratitude to the Great White North for cranking out so many great ingénues. That goes double for Ontario native Sophie Nélisse since the Canuck cutie appeared with her French-Canadian sis Isabelle Nélisse in Mirador (2010), Wait Till Helen Comes (2016), and Worst Case, We Get Married (2017) which won the VIFF Vancouver Women in Film and Television Artistic Merit Award. Speaking of prizes, Sophie kicked off her career with plenty of critical accolades. She was given the Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress for her film debut in the drama Monsieur Lazhar (2011). The acclaimed babe garnered even more praise for the World War II saga The Book Thief (2013) co-starring Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson. In fact, the rising star picked up a Genie Award, Jutra Award, Satellite Award, Spotlight Award, and Young Artist Award for her performance. Since then, she made the Jennifer Fox film The Tale (2018) with Laura Dern, Ellen Burstyn and Elizabeth Debicki for HBO. But recently it seemed as though Ms. Nélisse was after one of Mr. Skin’s Anatomy Awards since she strutted her stuff in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny two-toned bikini for the action horror flick 47 Meters Down: Uncaged in 2019. Also that year, Sophie thrilled movie goers by donning black lace lingerie in the thriller Close. If that’s not hot enough, the blonde hottie also proved baby got tattooed back and a cigarette. We said she was smoking!
