Maria José Moreno is a celebrated Spanish actress and singer who hails from the small southern village of Castillejar in Granada, Spain. She began her career in Opera as a soprano and has even won a Grammy for her recording on Falstaff. This songstress started acting onscreen in 1984 in the series El jardin de Venus with a small part in a couple of episodes. From there she starred in more Spanish movies like Scent of a Crime (1988), Refugios (2015) as Carmen, Our Lovers (2016) as Ursula, Nuestros amantes (2016), The Footballest (2018) and so many more. She obviously spends a lot of time on stage, performing throughout the country in lauded operas, but we appreciate her film work. She returns from time-to-time and in 2011 she finally did something worthy of Mr. Skin fame (or skinfamy, if you're paying attention). She plays the dutiful Tia Carmen in the intergenerational female family drama Crossroads (2011) where she plants a smooch on a cancer patient she is taking care of who had a mastectomy.
