Or fucked?” That’s the best line from British actress Leanne Best, from her character Anna in the TV mini-series Close to Me (2021), where she has the best long legs, and the best sexy accent when she says the word fuck. And while Mr. Skin applauds this performance, her best one, according to the world of film festivals, was as Rachel in the movie Cotton Wool (2017), for which she won ten different awards, including Best Actress from the European Independent Film Awards. Originally from Liverpool, land of The Beatles, her uncle Pete Best was the original drummer and had the nickname of “The Fifth Beatle.” Leanne herself fine-tuned her acting chops at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and only reluctantly left the city for London to establish her acting career, which she did beautifully.
