High School (2022)

Based on the autobiographical book by twin music duo Tegan and Sara, this portrait of 90s teen angst stars TikTok features Railey and Seazynn Gilliland in their television acting debuts as the future pop stars growing up in suburban Calgary. It starts out as bleak and boring your typical day pre-internet boom and ramps up with the development of their respective relationships: Sara with Phoebe, who was friends with both sisters but starts dating Sara which initially causes a sibling rift, and Tegan with new friend and eventual love interest, Maya. While short on skin, the series does have some steamy make out sessions, especially between Seazynn and another newcomer, Youtube star Olivia Rouyre as Phoebe. Canada may be chilly, but these ladies locking lips are red hot!
