For someone who is struggling with the disease of drug addiction, it's hard to string together two days of sobriety in a row, let alone Four Good Days.  In this unflinching look at how heroin addiction starts from something as simple as a knee injury requiring some pain pills into a full blown life destructive force for one family, we follow Molly (Mila Kunis), who is fresh out of a Detox clinic.  The 30-something addict has spent the last few years in the grips of a heroin addiction that has caused her to burn every bridge she ever had and after jumping from flop house to flop house, she goes back to her mom (Glenn Close) for one last shot at support.  The only problem is that her mom has heard every excuse, lie, and reason her jewelry is missing from her daughter so much, that she isn't sure if she can save her from herself any more.  She decides to give her one more chance just so long as she can string together four days of sobriety under her roof and will help her daughter get back on her feet, including new teeth.  This heart wrenching portrait of addiction is based on a real life story from the Washington Post about a real life addict and her relationship with her mother.  Mila Kunis really sinks her teeth into the drama here, including a couple of scenes of her detoxing in her undies, which might not be ideal skin to see, but she's still Mila under all that emaciating makeup.
